Richard Patrick made a name for himself in rock music by being the dynamic lead singer for the popular band Filter.

Lead guitarist Dean DeLeo and his younger brother, bassist and guitarist Robert, did the same in the huge 1990s act Stone Temple Pilots.

With all that experience on the radio and in sold-out arenas under their belts, one might think these veterans of the industry have gotten crusty and jaded, but when they talk about their new venture, Army of Anyone, they bristle with newborn energy and pressure-free enthusiasm for their craft.

Two forces join together for fun
By Doug Miller

When Inara George and Greg Kurstin were working together on George's solo debut, All Rise, in 2005, they discovered a mutual affection for jazz standards and the soothing tropical sounds of Brazilian music of the 1960s.

Fast forward a few years and you have the bird and the bee, the side project for both accomplished musicians that has become a full-time job, a major label project, and a high-profile touring gig that will reach levels of recognition that most bands never get to.
